Dr. Deutsch, born and raised in Wichita, graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Electrical & Biomedical Engineering before obtaining his medical degree from the University of Kansas – Wichita in 2010. Dr. Deutsch went on to complete his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center – Wichita, during which he was named the Outstanding Second Year Internal Medicine Resident in 2009 and received the St. Luke’s Award for Outstanding Performance across all residencies in 2010.
Dr. Deutsch completed a three-year fellowship in Hematology and Oncology in 2013 at the University of Iowa, serving as Chief Fellow during the 2012-2013 academic year. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology. He is a member of a number of professional societies including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, American College of Physicians and Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Deutsch serves on the Institutional Review Board for Via Christi Health and also demonstrates commitment to clinical research through his service as a Principal Investigator with the Wichita NCI Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP), a National Cancer Institute sponsored research program.
Dr. Deutsch joined the Cancer Center of Kansas in 2013 and looks forward to providing high quality specialty care in hematology and oncology in his native community and state, while also contributing to clinical medical education in the community.
