Dr. Bassam Mattar Publishes in the Journal of Clinical Oncology for Trial of Patients with Advanced Carcinoid Tumors

Dr. Bassam Mattar has been recognized as an author in an article that has been published by the Journal of Clinical Oncology (JCO).  The JCO’s mission is to “serve its readers as the single most credible, authoritative resource for disseminating significant clinical oncology research”.  This trial is registered with Clinical Trials, one of many clinical trials conducted around the world in order to bring the latest advances in clinical cancer research to our patients.  The trial assessed the progression-free survival of bevacizumab or interferon alfa-2b when added to octreotide among patients with advanced neuroendocrine tumors.  A total of 427 patients were enrolled in this trial that was conducted between December 2007 and September of 2012.  We are so proud to have a team of physicians dedicated to research.
