CFO Bradley Deutsch Recognized by Wichita Business Journal


Cancer Center of Kansas’ Chief Financial Officer, Bradley Deutsch, was recognized by the Wichita Business Journal and peers as a top CFO in the greater Wichita area.  More than 250 people attended a celebration on January 23rd, 2019 to honor the 2020 finance executives chosen for this award.  This celebration was the 10th annual CFO Awards event hosted by the WBJ where professionals are recognized for their part in making their companies and organizations successful.  As part of this recognition, chosen professionals were asked to complete a survey about their career, mentors, advice and more.  View Bradley’s survey below.

Hobbies/ activities: Spending time with my 10 grandchildren, golf and Kansas State football.

Community involvement: Medical Group Management Association of Kansas, Holy Cross Lutheran Church.

Why did you want to focus on finance? I enjoy working with numbers and analyzing financial operations and reports.

Are you responsible for oversight of company operations beyond finance? Business office, Transcription department and I am the HIPAA Security Officer.

Who was your most important mentor?  My parents.

What is the best advice they gave you?  Have a strong work ethic and treat others as you would want to be treated.

What is the biggest challenge you have faced as a CFO?  Navigating and adapting to the changing regulatory and reimbursement environment in the health-care field.

What is your greatest professional achievement?  Being able to learn and adjust to the numerous changes in healthcare finance over the past twenty years.

Are you involved in the community?  If so, how? We are members of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and participate in various activities there.

When you tell others about Wichita, what do you brag about?  Wichita has many different activities and amenities and is a great place to live and raise a family.  It is easy to get around in and short travel time to most in-town destinations.
