CCK Physician Dr. Christopher S.R. Dakhil has been selected as a 2020 Physician Health Care Hero by the Wichita Business Journal (WBJ). The Health Care Hero awards are given to individuals for their exceptional contributions to improving health care in their respective field in both Wichita and surrounding communities and show exemplary performance. The WBJ is the industry leader covering business news from local, regional and national perspectives reaching more than 13 million readers.
Dr. Chris joined the CCK team in 2012 after completing his residency and fellowship at the University of Kansas Medical School, where he garnered much respect from peers and faculty alike and even served as Chief Fellow. Immediately upon returning to his roots and establishing his own practice at CCK, he began to have an impact in the community and his lifetime of familiarity with and commitment to cancer patients made him a standout. Like all of our physicians, he has dedicated his career to CCK and our patients throughout the state. To illustrate the same, he not only sees patients in Wichita but, he like his partners, travels weekly to rural treatment centers to provide quality care to the rural areas. The Cancer Center of Kansas is so proud to have such a well-deserving physician as part of our team.
