Joseph A. Moore, MD

Medical Oncologist / Hematologist

Dr. Joseph A. Moore, a native of Wichita, received his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 2015. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX in 2018. Subsequently, he completed his fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, serving as Chief Oncology fellow in his final year. He returned to Wichita to join the Cancer Center of Kansas (CCK) team in July of 2021. In joining CCK, Dr. Moore becomes a third generation oncologist and hematologist to serve Kansas and CCK patients following the footsteps of his grandfather, Dr. Dennis Moore, Sr. and his father Dr. Dennis Moore, Jr.

During his training at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Dr. Moore received numerous honors and awards including the MD Anderson LBJ 3rd Year Fellow of the Year, as well as the MD Anderson Cancer Center Education Fellow Excellence Award for Teamwork. Dr. Moore is board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, American Society for Transplantation and Cellular Therapy, American College of Physicians and Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Moore is committed to clinical cancer research and has numerous academic abstracts and publications.

Dr. Moore is excited to bring his world-class training to help patients in his home state of Kansas. He looks forward to continuing the exceptional cancer care available at the Cancer Center of Kansas.
