Kaitlen graduated Newman University with a Bachelor’s of Science in 2014 and began her career as a Registered Nurse at Ascension Via Christi’s Cancer Institute. Four years later, she joined Wesley Medical Center as a staff nurse appointed to assist in the building of their Oncology Program. During this time, she continued her education at the Chamberlain University in Illinois and earned a Master’s of Science in Nursing specializing as a Family Nurse Practioner. She has always had a passion for oncology and wanted to find herself in the field long-term. She joined Cancer Center of Kansas in 2023 and has since then been an advocate for the care we provide to our patients across Kansas.
Prior to her nurse practioner experience, Kaitlen spent six years in the fields of hospital, oncology, hospice and surgical nursing. It was during this time she discovered her passion for oncology. She went on to complete her Master’s of Science in Nursing as a Nurse Practioner from Chamberlain University in Illinois and spent a brief time as a nurse practioner for a The Little Clinic site locally. In 2023 she joined the Cancer Center of Kansas and quickly became an advocate for the quality of care we provide to our patients across Kansas.
