Dr. Nabbout received his medical degree from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon in 1995. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine between 1995 and 1998. Dr. Nabbout then completed a three-year fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at Yale University in Connecticut from1998 to 2001. While at Yale, he participated in multiple research trials and received many honors and awards including the American Society of Clinical Oncology Merit Award in May of 2001. He worked in private practice in Houston, Texas for one year before moving in October 2002 to Wichita, Kansas to join the Cancer Center of Kansas. Dr. Nabbout also served as the Chief of Oncology at the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center from 2003 to 2008. Dr. Nabbout is board certified in Medical Oncology and Hematology. He is also a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Nabbout is active in clinical cancer research as a Principal Investigator of the Wichita NCI Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP), a National Cancer Institute sponsored research program.
Dr. Nabbout serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Since joining the Cancer Center of Kansas in 2002, he has become a leader in the group, garnering respect of peers and patients alike while contributing to the mission of excellence in care.
