Niranjan K. Parekh, MD
Legacy Physician
Dr. Niranjan Parekh received his M.D. degree from King George Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, India. He immigrated to the United States in 1980 and joined Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein Hospital’s unified radiation oncology residency program in New York City where he served as Chief Resident. After completing his residency, he trained under well known Dr. F. Chu, Dr. Batata, and Dr. L. Nisce as a Clinical Fellow at New York Hospital (Cornell University Medical Center). Dr. Chu has worked extensively on breast cancers, particularly those emerging after lumpectomy. Dr. Batata is well known for his work on prostate cancers.
Thereafter, he worked as a staff Radiation Oncologist at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey. During this time, he also served as Assistant Professor for Seton Hall University. Before joining the Cancer Center of Kansas, Dr. Parekh provided his services as the Medical Director at the Eastern Idaho Tumor Institute for eleven years, where he practiced general radiation oncology involving direct patient care.
In January of 2018, Dr. Parekh retired from practicing Radiation Oncolgoy medicine and resides in Dodge City with his family. Although he no longer sees patients in our offices, he will always remain a part of the CCK family and legacy.
