Dr. Koeneke is a native of Marysville Kansas. He graduated from the University of Kansas and then received his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 2003. He went on to complete his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Nebraska in Omaha. Dr Koeneke then completed a 3 year fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the University of Nebraska in 2009.

Dr. Koeneke is board certified in Internal Medicine, Oncology, and Hematology. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and Kansas Society of Clinical Oncology.

Dr. Koeneke joined the Cancer Center of Kansas in its Manhattan office in 2012. He is excited to be a part of the Cancer Center and to be able to bring high quality care along with clinical cancer research to the people of Northeast Kansas.

Dr. Koeneke has been appointed Member-at-Large of the American Society of Clinical Oncology – Kansas Chapter for 2015 to 2017.
